Contented chatter spilled out as we opened the door . . . if the starters were impressive our mains really had the wow factor . . . someone who loves food, putting it together with care . . . the children's menu was not just an afterthought . . . we had found something special - a friendly rural pub with top restaurant standard food.

. . . I have been a regular at the Shoulder since I was 17. I have made many, many friends there. Just going . . . is like entering another world where you can rid yourself of the pressures of life. Food is really imaginative and excellent. Beers are varied and well kept. The pub is clean and tidy. The staff are skilled and pleasant. Just a good place to be!
